Biography

Grace Awbrey is an M.A. student in Museum Studies with a certificate in Historic Preservation. Her main areas of focus are collection management and care, as well as historic and cultural preservation. For her final product, Grace is directing a geophysical survey at an African American cemetery in Eudora (Kan.), in conjunction with the Kansas Geological Survey and the Eudora Area Historical Society (EAHS). Her final product will include a complete geophysical analysis and virtual map of the historic cemetery, cultural preservation research made available to any remaining family, and an exhibit in the EAHS museum. Grace also works in collections at the Spencer Museum of Art and at the KU Libraries Conservation Lab in the Kenneth Spencer Research Library.
