Erin Gilmore has been involved in the arts since she could walk. While her research focuses on the turn-of-the-20th-century female performers in musical theater and opera, she brings a wealth of background working in various university settings at UMKC and her own experience with arts management with the opera group, The American Opera Studio Inc., of which she is a sitting board member. She resides in Overland Park with her husband and fellow musician, John, their son Ezra (4), daughter Evelyn (20m), and two cats, Ghost and Figaro.
