Sofia Galarza Liu

As Head of Collection Management, Sofía is responsible for maintaining the physical well-being and documentation of the Spencer’s collection, as well as the care and safety of all artworks for which the Museum is responsible, including works on loan, in transit, or on exhibit at other institutions. Sofía has worked at the Spencer since 2002. She has a BFA in the history of art and an MA in museum studies from the University of Kansas, and is an alum of the Getty Leadership Institute.
