Biography

Lauren McKinley is a Museum Studies Master's Student focusing on natural history and herpetology. She is interested in collections management of wet collections, digitization of specimens, and morphology of Neotropical frogs. She has been working in the herpetology collection for two years, assisting with loan and photo requests, inventories, integrating orphaned collections, and other daily operations. After graduation, she hopes to work as a collections manager in herpetology, focusing on digitization workflows to make collections more accessible to researchers globally. Her images have been published in Zootaxa, and she has presented research at the Kansas Herpetological Society's annual meetings.
