Nina Simon is the founder/CEO of OF/BY/FOR ALL, a global movement that helps organizations more effectively connect with their communities. Nina has held the position of Curator at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, CA and was the Experience Development Specialist at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. Currently, she is the Executive Director of the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, as well as an adjunct professor at The University of Washington Museology Program, where she teaches a course on Social Technologies in Exhibition Design. In addition, she is the principal of a design firm called Museum 2.0, which works internationally with museums, libraries, and cultural institutions to create educational programs and audience-driven exhibitions. Simon is the author of the best-selling books The Participatory Museum (2010) and The Art of Relevance (2016), as well as the Museum 2.0 blog until 2019. Described by the Smithsonian Magazine as a “museum visionary,” Simon is a strong advocate for more open, inclusive, and effective cultural institutions.
